Would you like to do more to support the Wymondham Heritage Museum?
If you would then why not come and join our friendly team and become a volunteer. Volunteers are the life blood of the museum and without the help and enthusiasm of over 100 active volunteers it would not be able to continue in its role of telling the story of our town, its people, its history and events. There are two main roles that volunteers fulfil.

Museum Stewards
The first role is working as a museum steward. You'll open the museum at the start of your duty and/or close at the end of the day, depending on your shift. You'll welcome visitors, take admission payments, answer questions, sell shop items and generally be available to help visitors. You can volunteer for just three hours per month, or more if you can do an extra duty!
Tearoom Volunteers
The second role is working in the Bridewell Tearoom - welcoming visitors, serving drinks/light refreshments and clearing away. The tearoom is usually open every day, at the same times as the museum.

Volunteers for either task are trained in their role and usually share duties with an experienced volunteer.
If you are interested in volunteering for either role and would like more information then, for museum stewards, please email volunteers@thewhm.org.uk or, for tearoom volunteers, tearoom@thewhm.org.uk.
Alternatively, call the museum on 01953 600 205 or drop in when the museum is open.
